Corporate volunteering is popular in Australia, with over three quarters of Australian companies offering such programs to their employees. Employers demonstrate a commitment and encourage, organise and enable employees to volunteer as part of their work commitment. There are many motivations and benefits of corporate volunteering to all participating parties – the employers, employees, not-for-profits, and the community. These include instrumental, relational, and moral or altruistic drives.
We can offer a wide variety of activities for employers and employees and will work with you to create a meaningful experience for everyone involved. General activities include: seed collection, sowing, propagation, weeding, site preparation, planting, mulching and watering.
We offer volunteering options for people with disabilities or health issues that may prevent them from doing general activities.
Given enough time, we are happy to work with the employer to develop a project their employees can complete, which will give them a sense of ownership and attendees are welcome to come back and follow the progress.
We will provide you with guidance and safety instructions on the day, complete a risk assessment, provide tools, lunch and a tour with one of our experienced tour guides.
The employer's donation will go to the Friends of Barossa Bushgardens which helps them raise funds for specific projects and/or assets, i.e. wheelchair-friendly table setting, shelters, etc.
